Boarding pets must be up-to-date on vaccination for:|
DOGS-- rabies, canine distemper, parvo, corona, and bordetella
CATS-- rabies, feline distemper, calicivirus, panleukopenia, and feline leukemia
This is in order to protect their health and the health of other pets in our facility. If your pet has never been to our practice, you will have to provide proof of these vaccines or have them done here.
New clients with first-time boarding pets must have their pet(s) first examined by the veterinarian to ensure they are in good health and fit for boarding. It is best-- though not required-- to schedule an appointment for your pet's first visit. You'll probably have some questions you'd like the vet to answer! If your pet has not been seen by our veterinarian recently, (s)he will have to be checked out for fitness. Please note that there is a charge for this fitness examination. We do not accept statements or documents from other facilities attesting to health status for boarding pets; they must be examined here to establish fitness. This allows us to further safeguard all the pets using our practice's boarding facilities.
